I was just singing Blessed Be your name. Then i started to listen to what i was actually singing. It is an amazing song. I mean Blessed be your name is just a simple song that many churches sing, but when you listen to the words, it's not such a simple song, it's an amazing song.
I love the part when it says : you give and take away, my heart will choose to say, Lord Blessed be your name.
You wouldn't think to say Blessed Be your name, if god just totally took something from you, but if you truly know that God has a reason for everything, then maybe you would say that. I do know that god has a reason for everything, but it is hard to say blesses be your name to God when something bad happens. I just love that song now!!! I just wanted to share my thoughts about that with you!!

we heard that song for the first time a week after we lost our first baby. i remember matt telling me that when he heard it for the first time he sat down and cried. it's still hard for me to sing, even today. the Lord did take away but in his grace, and in his mercy, he met us in the pain. and we were able to say we trust him and love him. and look at what he's given.
my hope and prayer beej is, when he does take from you, that you will turn in the pain and bless his name. i believe you will.
That's been my favorite song this year too (we even have the Veggietales version). My favorite part is:
